Wet Pants

As I rushed around today pondering my purpose here on Earth, I received a phone call from Prairieland. Now it is the first full day so I was thinking if there is no vomit there must be a broken bone...or a trip to see Mr. Arnold!! I was pleasantly surprised to hear that Michael had an "accident" and needed dry pants. Now Michael loudly corrected the secretary and told her that he didn't "pee his pants"; he went down a wet slide and this caused the problem. She and I laughed and then I got some dry clothes and headed to school. How did this impact me?
It made me realize how blessed I am to be at home ready to take my son dry pants. I am so thankful that I could just jump in the van (hey, what's one more trip?) and make sure that Michael was comfortable. On my way to school I thanked God for allowing me to be here at home and for reminding me that this time is a gift (even though it doesn't always seem to be!).
The true gift? Seeing my sons face light up when I walked in the building, and hearing him say with true gratitude, "Mom..I knew if we called you, you would come. And here you are. I love you."

That is soooo sweet! It is great when you are a hero to your children..even if it is just with a pair of dry pants!
